College of the Holy Cross Launches Its First Off-Campus OneCard Program with Heartland Payment Systems

Worcester students and merchants benefit from Heartland’s Give Something Back Network

PRINCETON, NJ — September 13, 2010 — College of the Holy Cross (Holy Cross) has selected Heartland Payment Systems’ (NYSE: HPY) Campus SolutionsSM to implement a new campus card program and develop its first off-campus program with Heartland’s Give Something Back NetworkSM. The Crusader OneCard — Holy Cross’s campus ID card — will provide students, faculty and staff with a quick, flexible tool to access a multitude of key services on- and off-campus.

With the Crusader OneCard, students will be able to make copies at campus copiers, make purchases at vending machines, pay for laundry and access dining services on-campus. As part of the Give Something Back Network, the Crusader OneCard allows students — for the first time — to use their ID cards as a prepaid, FDIC-insured card to make purchases not only on-campus, but also off-campus at participating merchants. The Give Something Back Network is a growing, nationwide network that provides cardholders a convenient way to access services and purchase goods using one card.

“Heartland’s platform offers students more integrated and convenient services for our Crusader OneCard program,” said Art Korandanis director of auxiliary services for Holy Cross. “The Crusader OneCard will help support the local economy by providing merchants a unique way to grow their businesses.”

Participating merchants pay a reduced fee for processing transactions made with the Crusader OneCard, saving on every transaction. Local Worcester merchants can sign up to accept the Crusader OneCard at OneCardGivesBack.com/Signup.

Holy Cross is issuing more than 4,000 cards to new and returning students, faculty and staff.
