Heartland’s state-of-the-art Jeffersonville, IN, facility recognized by southern Indiana’s
economic development organization
PRINCETON, NJ — July 9, 2010 — Heartland Payment Systems (NYSE: HPY), one of the nation’s largest payments processors, has received the 2010 Stites & Harbison PLLC Economic Impact Project Award from One Southern Indiana, the chamber of commerce and economic development organization for Clark and Floyd Counties in southern Indiana.
The award is given annually to a company that relocates to or expands its business in southern Indiana.
Jeffersonville, Indiana is home to Heartland’s state-of-the-art service center where 620 customer advocates and service employees provide support to the company’s merchants, relationship managers and account managers across the country — 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. The 226,000-square-foot facility, which opened in December 2007, houses a call center, deployment center and conference facilities — as well as the most recent additions of a cafeteria, fully equipped fitness center and daycare operation.
“Our service center is vital to Heartland’s operations, and it’s an honor to be recognized for its positive impact on the southern Indiana community,” said Marty Moretti, chief service officer at Heartland, who accepted the award. “Our 35+-acre campus affords us ample space to continually enhance and expand our facilities as we serve our growing merchant base — and team of employees.”
