Career Description Overview

Heartland offers a wide range of employment opportunities including both commission and salary-based positions. To encourage achievement and the development of leaders from within, some of these positions are available only to current employees. However, all offer a challenging and rewarding career opportunity.

Commission-Based Positions

  • Servicing Manager

  • Servicing Managers (SMs) enhance the overall relationship with assigned merchant customers by providing responsive, face-to-face local support that complements the Heartland Service Center and the selling Relationship Manager (RM). SMs perform new merchant installations and training on behalf of RMs, deliver immediate on-site assistance to merchants, work in conjunction with Heartland's Service Center to resolve technical issues that may arise, generate sales leads, and sell additional Heartland products and services. This position is considered to be one of the keystones of what makes Heartland the best payments processor in the country.

  • Territory Manager

  • Heartland Territory Managers are responsible for recruiting, training and managing the activities of a small group (at least 3) of Relationship Managers. As a Territory Manager you will provide hands-on field sales, mentoring and sales process training, in addition to sharing expert product and industry knowledge as well as provide a localized manager presence in select areas. Although TM positions are typically filled from within the ranks of Heartland Relationship Managers, we will consider other qualified candidates in selected parts of the country.

  • District Sales Manager

  • The position of District Sales Manager is reserved for current Heartland employees who have been promoted from within the ranks of Territory Managers. There are periodically opportunities available in certain parts of the country for qualified Heartland employees.

  • Division Manager

  • The position of Division Manager is also reserved for current Heartland employees who have been promoted from within the ranks. There are periodically opportunities available in certain parts of the country for qualified Heartland employees.

  • Regional Director

  • As with the Division Manager positions, the Regional Directors are all promoted to that position from within Heartland's ranks. There are currently no openings.
